100% Human-Made as a KPI

The note

Everyone at this office is 100% human-made. The monitors disagree.

Zane and Matt swear they don't use AI. Not for the deck, not for the emails, definitely not for the strategy doc. Meanwhile every screen behind them is running Adam. And the capper: Adam wrote both denials.

I drew it after Jimmy Iovine said there are "a lot of closet AI producers out there." He meant music. But I've sat in enough meetings to know the closet is much, much bigger than the studio.

Here's what gets me about the closet: it's the worst of both worlds. You take the help and you keep the shame. The tool compounds, the skill doesn't, because nobody gets good in secret.

The teams that win the next few years aren't the ones that use AI hardest. They're the ones where saying "the model wrote the first draft" costs you nothing in the room.

The joke isn't that Zane and Matt use AI. The joke is that they think anyone believes them.
