Labor Day at the office. We observed it. Adam did not.
This one is after Bruegel's The Harvesters, the painting where half the crew is asleep under a tree and the other half is still out cutting wheat. I didn't change much. Coach, Zane, and me under the tree. The robot in the field.
Here's what I keep noticing about the AI in my business: it doesn't take the day off, and it doesn't ask whether I'm taking it either. That's not a complaint. It's just the first Labor Day of my working life where the labor kept going while I didn't.
So the strip is asking, quietly, what the holiday is for now. If the work gets done anyway, what exactly are we resting from?
I don't have the answer. I had a sandwich.
